"I installed the in-ceiling speakers last weekend. Because the space above my ceiling was an attic, the installation was very easy. The screw mount system was very easy to use. It took about 4 hours to install 4 speakers in the ceiling. The sound coming from the speakers was great - deeper bass than I would expect from a 6.5" because of the infinite air space behind the woofers. Angling the drivers is a nice feature. I haven't installed the in-wall speakers yet - not sure if they will look good enough for my living room decor - may save these for later use."

"Very happy with everything I bought. The install went just like expected - no complications. The sound is pretty good. The staff (Tanya) was very helpful and pleasant to work with.
Dual 3-ways sound very good, so does the dual voice coil single speaker. The dual voice speaker was installed in the ceiling and ended up between the ceiling sheet rock and the attic subfloor - I guess that provided a sort of a box and the bass from such a small speaker is amazing. I think it's because the subfloor reflects everything back down, instead of allowing it to dissipate up. Therefore, if someone does not have insulation or subfloor above ceiling speaker, it might be a good idea to "throw" a piece of particle board or plywood above the speaker to create that effect."

"Hi, a short note about the installation of the JAC6A in-ceiling speakers, the installation went as planed, the only minor problem was a "cat" half way up the wall, which I expected, but was surprised to find it was attached to a 2 x 6 which was also nailed between the studs. this resulted in a little more spackling than I figured. No big thing. In my ceiling I have blown in insulation. I was able to gain access to the attic, I cleared away the insulation, measured, and marked each location for center between the ceiling joist, and pushed a Awl through the sheet rock at center, being careful to make only a small hole, then I went down in the Den and drilled all the holes (8 inch dia.), using the hole maker that I purchased from you, It worked great, not a bit of dust escaped, almost no clean-up was required. Then I installed all 5 speakers, then back up in the attic and replaced the insulation. Everyone liked the way they sound, they really fill the room with excellent sound. I had a pair of JBL Control One speakers hooked up to the same amp, which I loved, but these in ceiling JA 6's have a much better sound. The next thing I will get is a Sub Woofer, as soon as I save enough for it, and will complete my system. Thanks again for all the tech help available on your web site,It made my decision making easy, and hassle free."

"I prewired my house in the framing stage, anticipating a whole house stereo system.  This made the installation of the in-ceiling speakers and volume knobs a 1 hour job per room at most.  The only recommendation I have for people doing this install, is to use the shopvac while you are cutting out the holes in the ceiling.  This made for a much cleaner installation.
The AS6C speakers sound great - although lacking a little bass.   That is to be expected though with the large area I am using them in.  They are also very unobtrusive - my friends didn't even notice I had put the speakers in until I pointed them out.  
The addition of volume knobs allows me to tailor the sound level in the room I am in without going back to the receiver.  This is probably the nicest feature and I highly recommend it to anybody considering a whole house stereo.  Of course, prewiring the extra speakerwire and  outlet boxes in the wall made the install easy."

Instructions were simple, a great hard-stock template was provided (Wish recess lighting cans came with that template). Wiring was straight forward and easy. (I had already installed the wiring during a remodel last year). The sound quality from the speakers is phenomenal.(Just as good as the JBL){This customer purchased the Audio Source AS6C} If I knew I could have gotten that quality of sound for that price, I would have wired for more speakers. "Overall I delighted with the JA Audio speakers I purchased (actually my second time.) I did have a problem with one of the tweeters being out but have talked to your customer service dept. and they are having a replacement sent. Overall the sound quality is perfect for my home theater room and the very reasonable price was a big plus. One tip you may want to pass-on was my approach to running the wires across my room. Since I was installing new carpeting, I tore-out the old carpet (along with padding) and then, using my router and a 3/3" bit, I routed channels across the plywood floor to allow me to run the wiring so that it was flush with the floor. Then I fished the wires up into the walls (with the help of a Base BoarZ-It from Labor Saving Devices) and installed new carpeting. This was a far easier and more cost-effective approach than fishing wires under the floor or using flat under-carpet speaker wire (which is not of real high quality.) "As a small custom home builder, we install audio systems and home theater surrounds in almost all of our homes. Typical homes get speakers in four to six rooms, including outdoor patios and decks. We've been very pleased with the speakers and volume controls that we've purchased through InWall over the past two years - they provide an excellent variety of products and great pricing. We've been particularly happy with the JA Audio speakers and the quality of sound the produce. Installation of the systems is done in-house by myself and one of my carpenters. We've experimented with different configurations including A-bus systems, centralized impedance matching with speaker selectors, and distributed impedance matching with volume controls. All of the systems have been easy to implement and produce good sound from very basic audio components. I installed them in an approximately 16' x 16' / 10' ceiling family room in a square pattern 10' o.c., and the sound is great! A B.I.C. center channel completes the 5 speaker system; it picks up dialog and high frequencies very well with our Pioneer receiver. The only question I had prior to install was handled via e-mail. All in all, we put together a great home theater system for almost half what the "big box" stores would charge with their install included. Once I divided on the JA Audios, after further researched price - what do you know, Inwallstore was VERY competitive. Then when I called and your helpful sales staff gave me details on my shipping options, I was sold. The product showed up a day early, and it allowed me to complete my installation before a holiday party. My only complaint is that the instructions included with the speakers were "light"... but the web-based tutorial did more than make up for that. "Finally our kitchen/family room remodel is done and surprisingly the new items that most impressed us weren't the appliances or recess lights but our ceiling speakers.
In the family room we installed the JA Audio Fully Rotating All Ceiling Mount theatre system (5 Speakers), and in the adjoining kitchen we installed 2 JA Audio EX-C65 Extreme Series 6 1/2 in. 2 Way In-Ceiling Speakers, one lined up over the sink and the other over the island.
I started off shopping for a whole theater system and the more I checked online, the more I became convinced that I could pick our own components instead of investing in an all inclusive "boxed" system. With the help of a few well placed inquiries including Inwallstore, I finally chose a receiver, subwoofer and the ceiling speakers with good reputations and outstanding performances based on the many reviews of products now available to consumers.
Both my husband and I were blown away by the sound these speakers provide. This was the best decision we could have made and more importantly we would make it again given a choice. This is the only product we feel absolutely confident we can review, in which we are extremely satisfied and more importantly that we boasts of to anyone asking about our remodel.
The instructions were simple and the contractors had no difficulty with the installation. The two kitchen speakers are on a separate channel so they can be turned on with music while the TV & theater system are off in the family room, or be on when the TV is on as well playing either what's on the HDTV or something separate if I want to listen to music while others are watching a game. Truly versatile!
