Low-profile IR target is designed to provide a control link to remotely located or hidden audio and video equipment, and remain hidden when attached to your flat panel or conventional television. Years of peel-and-stick use is provided from an aggressive adhesive, and the pre-tinned control wire is designed to be connected to low-cost Cat 5 cable for wire runs of up to 1,000 ft. A wide-band design was engineered into the target for compatibility with virtually all existing IR control schemes. Set top IR target provides an infrared link to your hidden or remotely located audio and video components. A sleek flat black housing integrates well with almost any room dÉcor. Four non-slip rubber feet keep the target in place, even on the slickest of surfaces. Compatibility with the widest range of products (including late model cable and satellite receivers) has been ensured through the use of a wide band design that receives IR bands between 30-100 kHz. Built into the housing is a confirmation LED that aids in system troubleshooting by blinking whenever the target receives a command.  The white wire (tip) carries the IR signal; the red wire (ring) is ground, and the shield (sleeve) carries 12 VDC power. One example is between the grille and baffle board of an in-wall speaker. The high sensitivity of this receiver gives you the ability to place the 480 behind a grille and still receive the IR commands up to 20 feet away. If longer range is necessary, you must drill a 3/8-inch hole in the grille.
