Turn on the knob, play from your smartphone or computer wirelessly!
This is the first product of its kind that's so simple, versatile and capable.
Now you can have remotely controlled wireless inwall or in-ceiling speakers.
BT2 Changes: Aux input now on the rear for inwall use.
Short story: This is a stereo mounted in your wall!
Long story: This is like when your smartphone started doing all the things that the other devices would do but all in one. Like when you got a camera and GPS and a calendar and video player all in your pocket!
This is a remotely installed Bluetooth receiver (from your smartphone or computer) that plays your movies or your music over speakers either installed in your wall/ceiling or connected through a simple wall plate to your bookshelf speakers. All without taking up ANY counter space.
How Does It Work?
You install this into an outlet box (Deep J-box or Deep Old Work box) in your wall of your choice. Ideally it will install into a location that has an electrical outlet below as that's how it plugs in. There is a DC wall port included to install in the wall in the same stud bay, below your volume control and you run a wire from the volume control to the back of the wall port. On the outside, you plug in an AC/DC 24 volt 3 amp adapter (NOT INCLUDED, see below) from the electrical outlet to the wall port.
From the volume control you'll have a left and right speaker wire that will go to either wall/ceiling speakers or optionally to a speaker wall plate for bookshelf out of wall type speakers on a desktop or shelf, for example.
Custom Name Programming
We can even program your device with your own custom name for the area that it will be installed in! Examples: Kitchen, Dining Room, Conference Room, Exam Room 1, Joes Office. Up to 24 characters. This makes your areas separate so multiple people don't log onto the same device. More info and ordering page here.
Watch the videos for the many ideas of where to install one of these. Getting creative and you can install these in places that whole house audio might be nearly impossible.
-Motels can use these for individual room stereos.
-Suntan salons can quickly install independent control for each customer to use their own music.
-Churches can install these in child care rooms or secondary rooms for independent control.
-Offices can use these for customizing presentations with control from a person's Powerpoint or other video medium for conference rooms.
-Dentist offices can have individual room control with a client using their own phone to listen to their music without any setup or wires to the smartphone.
-Each of your children can have their own music in their rooms with no wires to the smartphone or computer or iPad/Tablet device.
Why didn't we include the power supply?
Believe it or not, it's too expensive for us to include and keep the price down. The initial order size for the volume control is fairly low by importing standards. We want to test the market and then ramp up with some customer input as to what folks like and what else could be added. One idea already is to have the Aux input wired from the back of the unit with a connection point at the power port instead to allow Apple Airport Express connections low on the wall for Airplay.
We suggest these two power supplies from Amazon:
