This is a new brand name on the block. But you've heard of plenty of the brand names that come from the same factory in Taiwan.
We were skeptical about the price too. So we put these through some serious testing. We usually only give recommendations with brands we install for customers at their homes. But we needed to see how these worked before stocking these, as they are only sold through the manufacturer.
The tonal qualities were the first thing we noticed. Very complete full range for a 6 1/2 in. woofer! The lows were accurate and surprising for an inwall speaker standing alone without a sub (like for theater use). We used to sell RBH speakers and these remind us a lot of those high end systems. In fact, RBH's aluminum subs would match perfectly with these in a home theater.
The cross-over is well thought out and a sharp slope is incorporated for a smooth transition from lows to highs.
The tweeter is adjustable and as usual not a good "bell and whistle" to have with inwall designs...make sure to point the tweeter in the same direction as the woofer, otherwise you'll be hearing null zones and funny echoes at certain frequencies.
The tweeters themselves are a terrific aluminum dome design that meshes tonal qualities of the woofer.
The grills are made of aluminum and then painted white. This process makes them most resistant to corrosion due to moisture, so these will work great in high humidity areas and in outside enclosed porches.
The mount easy with a traditional front mounting rotating cam mounting system. You just cut the hole in the drywall, insert the speaker and tighten the screws from the front. There's no pre-assembly...it's from the box into the wall.
