Installation was straight forward and easy as I expected. I had a problem when painting the speaker grills to match my wall paint. I still have not been able to get the paint to cover very well and they look splotchy at best. Other than that, no issues.

Having been an audiophile for decades (previously moving in the Wilson, Pass, Theta, Krell, Vandersteen circles) when it was time to remodel the house and provide multi-room sound and a hidden 7.2 surround sound system I search high and low, read stacks of articles and ultimately landed at Inwall Tech. I couldn’t be happier. Starting from their support when a part of the shipment went missing and they fedexed out a replacement, no questions asked, to the ease of installing and the performance.

I ordered the HD-650.2W in-wall speakers. I had a wall unit in it that's white and my wife was tired of seeing my black Infinity speakers and amp on it so I hid my amp in the cabinet and went to look for speakers to install into the wall unit. Now I'm looking for Fidelity.I want to hear every breath, every string stroke, every thump of base, and every sigh. Now I was sorry to put something else in because I knew it would be extremely expensive to get something that matched the level of the specific speakers I had. Boy was I wrong, these are the best speakers I've ever listened to. I went to Home Theater shops in listened to Bowers & Wilkins, I listen to Klipsch and these things are better than either of those. Then, when I thought it couldn't get any better, after 2 weeks of use these things are even more amazing. But that's not all folks, once my subwoofer came in and I hooked that bad boy up, leaving the HDs only to handle the mid-range and the highs, WOOOAH!

I installed HD-650.2W speakers in the ceiling in my dock. Knowing that an ceiling install is not optimal, and of course the crap shoot of buying off the internet, I didn't know what to expect. I've only listened once so far, but they sounded great across the line include base, clarity, and overall presence. I enjoy high quality sound and contrast to a high end Klipsch system for HT, and Newform research speakers for my main system.

A very good in-wall speaker

First the inwall store web site provides a great selection
After reviewing several of the brands on this site I selected the HD-650.2W for the following reasons 1) 6.5 in woofers for mid range out put ( i set my speaker crossover at 100 hz) 2) toggle switches for +/- 3 db bass and treble 3) Provlar Woofer Material 4) Metal dome tweeter (previously used Aperion in walls with a soft dome as also own Dynaudio 42's) It a nice change to have the sparkling top end for home theater use. For music i typically use the -3db treble switch
When they arrived I was not quite ready to install as my TV and other equipment
I did quickly plug them in to my receiver just to make sure they worked and they did
I just finished the wall installation beside my new 60" 4K tv and they sound great. certainly have opened up over this last week and I look forward to the super bowl with my system on.
I think these speakers will be great for home theater and very good for music.
